Training for the deputy ministers is being held with the participation of professors from the “Skolkovo” Innovation Center and “St. Gallen University”

On July 19, 2019 with the organization of Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and “PASHA Bank” an important training is held within the framework of the “Digital Transformation and Innovation in the Public Sector” program for executives of various government agencies and institutions.

Welcoming the participants with introductory speech Ulvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Taleh Kazimov, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of PASHA Bank highlighted the importance of training in the direction of digitalization of public services as well as innovation management.

The two-day training will be conducted by experts from the Russian “Skolkovo” Innovation Center and “St.Gallen University” in Switzerland. The training is expected to develop the digital skills of the coordinators responsible for innovative development of government agencies involved in the training, recent processes related to digitization and increase of awareness in the field of advanced technologies, as well as in the direction of digital transformation and innovation management.

After the opening ceremony participants were trained, and discussions were held in the field of digitalization of public services, innovation and risk taking in Azerbaijan, innovation systems and measurements, entrepreneurship within the organization.

The second day of the program will be followed by trainings and discussions on the subject of national digital strategy, national digital transformation programs, the role of public-private partnerships and next steps in digital transformation.
